Fourteen thematic lines, each with its own conditions. Project outline first, then full application after invitation. SMEs are defined here more generously than the EU standard: up to 1 000 employees and 100 million euros in turnover. NOTE: the line «Interaktive Technologien für Gesundheit und Lebensqualität» is closed, and medical technology requires collaboration. For medical technology, the results must be exploited in Germany, the EEA or Switzerland.

1. Describe the idea. Company name and a few sentences about the project — registration number and sector are fetched from the registry.
2. Check your chances. Granteon assesses the project against the criteria in KMU-innovativ and tells you honestly whether it can be won — before you write.
3. Write the application. The AI writes from your own facts, scores the draft like an award committee, and delivers it field by field within the portal's character limits.
4. Complete the financing. Your own contribution is calculated. You can obtain a signed conditional commitment from an investor, and find consortium partners when the call requires them.
5. Deliver and report. Reporting plan, draft reports and budget tracking after the award — until the final report is filed.

Who can apply for KMU-innovativ?

The scheme is open to applicants in Germany. Granteon checks the remaining requirements against your organisation free of charge.

How much can you get from KMU-innovativ?

Varies. Funding rate: Up to 50 % for SMEs, up to 25 % for large enterprises (confirmed for the bioeconomy line).

When is the application deadline?

The first complete application is free. After that it costs NOK 990 per completed application — not per month and not per user, so a company that does not apply pays nothing. Finding schemes and following deadlines is always free and needs no account.
