Ministry of Defence Grant Competition for Military or Dual-Use Product Development

An annual competition for SMEs in Latvia's defence and security industry developing new military or dual-use products in priority areas. Single companies can receive up to EUR 300 000 and consortia up to EUR 500 000, from a 2026 pot of EUR 2.4 million. Ukrainian businesses may take part as non-lead partners. Involving a research organisation raises the rate from 50 % to 75 %. The 2026 themes are autonomous military platforms: data security, mobility, energy efficiency and protection in combat conditions. Military-use products are funded under the Article 346 TFEU exemption rather than de minimis, which is why the per-company ceiling can reach EUR 300 000.

1. Describe the idea. Company name and a few sentences about the project — registration number and sector are fetched from the registry.
