Latvia tops up what the European Commission does not pay for companies taking part in European Defence Fund consortia, and separately funds the work of writing the proposal. Applicants must be registered in Latvia, already be part of an EDF consortium, and meet requirements on financial stability, tax compliance, reputation and security. It stacks with the LIAA grant for preparing European Commission proposals, which also names the EDF explicitly.
