Innovate UK Innovation Loans

For projects that are too late in the process for a grant, but too early for the bank. Only UK-registered micro, small and medium-sized enterprises may apply — large companies, research organisations and non-profits are excluded. Project up to five years, repayment up to five years, a combined maximum of seven.

1. Describe the idea. Company name and a few sentences about the project — registration number and sector are fetched from the registry.
2. Check your chances. Granteon assesses the project against the criteria in Innovate UK Innovation Loans and tells you honestly whether it can be won — before you write.
3. Write the application. The AI writes from your own facts, scores the draft like an award committee, and delivers it field by field within the portal's character limits.
4. Complete the financing. Your own contribution is calculated. You can obtain a signed conditional commitment from an investor, and find consortium partners when the call requires them.
5. Deliver and report. Reporting plan, draft reports and budget tracking after the award — until the final report is filed.

€100 000 – €5 000 000. Funding rate: Loan of up to 100 % of project costs. Interest 3.7 % during the project period, 7.4 % during repayment, plus 3.7 % deferred interest on the principal..

When is the application deadline?
