A Climate Change Programme grant for companies investing in new lighting, heating or process equipment to cut energy use, where the investment implements a measure identified in a formal energy audit report. Applicants must be final energy consumers and must not take part in the EU Emissions Trading System; mining, oil and gas extraction and peat harvesting are excluded. The audit is the binding prerequisite and the project must deliver at least 10 MWh of annual savings, so commissioning the audit now is the sensible preparation for the next round.
