Wage compensation of 70 % for micro and small, 60 % for medium (70 % where the person hired falls under Article 25 of the Employment Law) and 50 % for large enterprises, capped at 1.5 times the minimum monthly wage. Training costs up to EUR 5 765 to acquire a qualification or EUR 2 882.50 to improve one, rising to EUR 10 377 and EUR 5 765 for high value-added qualifications. Up to 20 % of the supervising master's wage is also reimbursed

The main route for a Lithuanian employer to have the state pay a large share of training new staff on the job. The employer is the applicant and hires the apprentice on an apprenticeship employment contract, then recovers both part of the wage and the training costs. De minimis rules apply, and training programmes must be selected through the Kursuok.lt platform, where the documents are also signed.
