Grant for Companies' R&D Employees (Ettevõtja teadus- ja arendustöötaja toetus)

A refund scheme that returns part of the payroll tax a company has already paid on its R&D staff, rather than funding a project. Any company in the Estonian Business Register with at least one R&D employee can apply, provided it stays within the EUR 300 000 de minimis ceiling over three years. Qualification is mechanical: the employee must have worked a minimum period in the reference half-year and the taxes must be correctly declared, so the work is payroll hygiene, not proposal writing.
